Lotto

Club lotteries have been a regular part of fundraising efforts at sports clubs in Ireland for decades and Clubforce (as locallotto.ie) became the online home of club and society lotteries over 10 years ago. The Clubforce system allows clubs to sell lottery tickets online to club members at home and abroad. Members can enter multiple draws at once and receive automated emails with lottery results and club news. 

This online lottery service is included as part of the club’s overall subscription to Clubforce and can be run in-tandem with offline lottery or run exclusively online. 

More information on your club lottery including lottery results will be displayed at a later date.

Barbecue at McCarthys for Acorn Childcare Centre
A fundraising barbecue will take place at McCarthy’s on bank holiday Sunday 1st June. The night is in aid of the Acorn Community Childcare group who intend to build a proper childcare centre in Fethard. Music on the night is by Willy and the Poor Boys (better known to Fethard music fans as Back Door or the Super Noodles over the years). Tickets for the night are €10 from McCarthy’s or at the door on the night. Your support will be most welcome.

‘Lord Lonergan’ lived up to expectations on Monday night, 2nd June, in Youghal where he won the Track Supporters Club Stakes worth €1,600 by almost ten lengths. Following a pile up at the first bend, ‘Lord Lonergan’ was lucky to break away and win in a time 29.43. The drinks were flying again at Lonergan’s Bar on Monday night for the owners and supporters. His next outing is at Clonmel Track on Sunday next.

Great music, great food, great craic? — it must be the ‘Midsummer Party’ which takes place in Cloneen on Saturday June 28th. After many very successful renditions of the Midsummer Ball, this year’s Midsummer Party will be slightly different. Dickie bows / black ties are no longer mandatory. But to preserve the class and atmosphere of the event, neat dress is still essential.
Furthermore the ticket prices have been lowered. So it is that bit cheaper and a little less formal . . .

This Friday, 20th June, a golf classic will be held in Slievenamon Golf Club in aid of Bro Paul Brennan’s Kabongo Project in Eldoret Kenya. We ask for your support for this very worthwhile project by entering a team in this ‘Three Ball Champagne Scramble’. The cost is €150 per team. Tee boxes cost €50 or you could donate prizes for the raffle.
