Lotto

Club lotteries have been a regular part of fundraising efforts at sports clubs in Ireland for decades and Clubforce (as locallotto.ie) became the online home of club and society lotteries over 10 years ago. The Clubforce system allows clubs to sell lottery tickets online to club members at home and abroad. Members can enter multiple draws at once and receive automated emails with lottery results and club news. 

This online lottery service is included as part of the club’s overall subscription to Clubforce and can be run in-tandem with offline lottery or run exclusively online. 

More information on your club lottery including lottery results will be displayed at a later date.

A new addition to the Fethard website in the past few weeks are audio podcasts, ‘A taste of Fethard’, which features audio interviews of local individuals and groups. A podcast is an audio or video file available online that can be played on your computer or downloaded to your iPod or MP3 player. By clicking in the subscribe button on the podcast page new podcasts will be downloaded automatically to your computer. www.fethardpodcasts.com

Consultants have drawn up an action plan to transform the medieval walled town of Fethard into a tourist destination of national significance. Conservation of the town’s historic walls, the development of a walking route around the walls, the upgrading of the town’s river walk and building a tourism visitor centre are among the projects proposed in the 15 point action plan devised by The Paul Hogart Company. The company was commissioned by South Tipperary Co. Council to conduct a ‘Public Realm’

On Sunday 24th August a Medieval festival will be held in Fethard town to celebrate Irish Walled Towns Day, with events to suit all ages. The day will commence at 11am with the launch of an exhibition of ceramic works by Dóirín Saurus and her students in the Town Hall. During the day there will be a talk and tour of the local flora and fauna by Shay Hurley and Liam Burke.

This years Walled Towns Day Medieval Festival Fancy Dress Parade will be led by five Irish Wolfhounds — a massive, muscular dog, the Irish Wolfhound is one of the tallest breeds in the world. This gentle giant can reach the size of a small pony. Standing on his hind legs the Irish Wolfhound can reach up to 7 feet tall!
The parade will start from outside the Town Hall at 2pm on Sunday 24th August, where local bands ‘Zero Tolerance’ and ‘Naked Mr America’ will also play their music from 12 noon
