A league defeat

November 7, 2018

Hosts Moylagh went down to a last minute Castletown goal in this brutal A league div. 3 match played   in slippy conditions on Monday night. Moylagh went in at half time a point to the good despite missing some glorious chances after an error strewn first half.

The second half continued in the same vein with Justin O Reilly , Joe Melia and Jim Ward missing gilt edge goal chances in a performance that lacked composure, and they were made to pay when the Castletown corner forward rounded keeper Declan Traynor to slot home a sucker punch goal in injury time. Relegation now beckons for Moylagh

Moylaghs second string lost out to a talented Duleek/Bellewstown outfit on Tuesday of last week despite some fine scores from ex intercounty stars Joe Melia and Paddy McCormack (who sustained a nasty ankle injury we wish him well)
