A week ago, Eoin Walsh and Phillip Ezergailis paid a visit to Moycullen Pitch with the U21 All Ireland and Connacht Cups which they won earlier in the year. They also found time to visit the local schools and do a question and answer session with the children. They even held their Q&A session in scoil Baile Nua as gailge and were complimented by the teachers there on their gailge. The lads are a credit to their families and the Club. Our photo shows the two lads with the cups and the banner of our main club sponsor, McCann’s Supervalu in Moycullen, and girls and boys of all ages who again asked loads of questions.
When Chairman Liam Hynes (who claims to have been the lads first coach), told the two lads to smile, as this is like being celebrities, one un-named young player quipped ‘ya, but without the money’.
