All-Ireland Scór Title for Offaly

Offaly’s proud record in Scor was enhanced on Saturday, 20th February when Shane Lynam won the All-Ireland Scor na nOg Solo-Singing final at Athlone I.T.

Shane, representing the Shamrocks Club, performed ‘A Song For Ireland’ and was a deserving winner of the event. He had previously progressed through the county and provincial stages of Scor na nOg, which is organised and promoted by the G.A.A.

Shane is the sixth Offaly winner of the Scor na nOg solo-singing title and the first since Tadgh Maher ten years ago. Last year, Clara’s Ballad Group won the Senior Scor All-Ireland title, and there have been numerous other All-Irelands won over the past four decades
