Annual General Meeting

November 8, 2018

Chairman, Tom Doyle, thanked all who contributed in any way to the running of the club in 2011 and wished everyone success in 2012. He said he was very happy to announce that the Committee had decided to reduce the Membership Subscription for 2012 from €30 to €20 for adults and €10 for Minors.

Secretary, Dermot Byrne, provided a comprehensive report on the club’s activities during the year, which were very successful both on and off the pitch. All four of the club’s adult teams reached finals with the Minor’s taking pride of place, winning the “B” Championship. The Intermediates and Under 21s did very well to reach their Championship finals and were unlucky to lose – hopes are high that both teams can go one step further in 2012. The Intermediates and Juniors did bring home silverware by winning the finals of Divisions 2 and 4, so having contested five finals in 2011, the club will have three cups on display at this year’s Dinner Dance in the Seven Oaks Hotel on Friday, 24 February.

Dermot thanked Lily Purser for ensuring that Clonmore teams always look their best on the field; the Lotto Committee and all associated with the Lotto; the sponsors of the Golf Classic; the volunteers who worked on projects at Woodside; the mentors and players, especially those who have answered the call to join county panels; the club members who steward at Dr Cullen Park and the members of the Adult and Juvenile Committees for their hard work and dedication.  A special thanks was extended to Jimmy Lawlor for his work at the club grounds, to FÁS and the Carlow FÁS Development Committee for their generous support

Treasurer, Juliana Garahy, provided a detailed financial statement showing that the club is in a healthy financial state at the moment thanks to the very generous support of the local community, sponsors and participants in the weekly Lotto and the Golf Classic. Ger Doyle also provided a full financial report on behalf of the Juvenile Club.
