Friday Church Services in Ballina:   After 10am Mass, the Blessed Sacrament is exposed until 5pm.  Prayer of the Church and Benediction at 1.05pm.  Why not come along and pray awhile.   

Change a life –  become a Foster Carer:   The HSE in North Tipperary would love to have families who would be able to offer a homne to children who need to come into care.  There is an information Evening on Foster Care in the Abbey Court Hotel Nenagh on Thursday, June 6th from 6.30pm to 8pm.  Alternatively you can ring 067 66662.   

ProLife Campaign:   On Saturday June 8th, there will be a Vigil for Life in Merrion Square, Dublin from 3pm to 4pm.  To organize transport or to received information on transport, contact 087 2668702.   

Bike for Ballina: The club in partnership with Waterman’s Lodge Daycare and Respite centre held a Bike for Ballina over the Bank holiday weekend. This was a novel marathon cycle event which involved over a hundred and fifty club members from under twelve boys and girls, under  fourteen, sixteen, minors,

intermediates, many parents and adult members, all giving their time to cycle for a least one half hour. Others gave generously of their time to collect donations. In lovely weather this was a great community effort which created a very positive buzz around the town.  A great achievement and great fun, well done to all involved! Results of challenges held as part of the cycle will be published next week. Thank you to the community of Ballina and local environs for the support you gave to us with this fundraiser.

 

Junior B: We drew with Toomevara in the county hurling league last Sunday in Toomevara. Ballina 2-16 – Toomevara 2-16.

 

Under 14:  Hard luck to the under 14 footballers who were beaten by Emly/Treacys last Saturday morning in Templemore in the county semifinal.

 

Tipperary U21 Hurling: Well done to Michael Breen and Tipperary U21 hurling team on their great win over Limerick last Friday night. 

 

Tipperary versus Limerick: Tickets for game will be available in the GAA complex this Wednesday June 5th at 9pm,only stand tickets available.

 

Minor hurling: The minor hurling championship will commence on June 27th. Training for non exam players continues every Monday and Thursday evenings

 

Wishing the best of luck to the girls and boys sitting the Leaving and Junior cert exams in the next two weeks.
