Friday Church Services in Ballina:   After 10am Mass, the Blessed Sacrament is exposed until 5pm.  Prayer of the Church and Benediction at 1.05pm.  Why not come along and pray awhile.

Recently Deceased:   Remember in your prayer the soul of Edna Palfreyman, Yorkshire, mother of Hilary O’Connor, Grange who died recently.

First Holy Communion Day:   54 children attending Ballina Primary School celebrated their First Holy Communion last Sunday at 11.30am and 1.30pm.  Please remember them in your prayers.

Fleadh Cheoil Cho. Thiobraid Arann:   This will take place in Ballina this coming weekend.  The programme of events is available in all the shops.  To mark the occasion, the 11.30am Mass on Sunday next will be bilingual and the accompanying music will be traditional Irish.

Junior B Hurling league: Match against Ballinahinch cancelled last Sunday due to both pitches been unplayable, match to be rescheduled for a later date. They play Portroe in Ballina Sunday May 19th at 6-30pm.

Minor A Football:  The minor footballers are out Thursday 16th May in the North A Final against Newport Gaels in Portroe at 7-00pm. We wish them the best of luck, please come along and support the players. 

Minor Tipperary Football: Best of luck to Jack Brady and the Tipperary Minor footballers against Cork next Wednesday May 26th in Semple stadium.

Tipperary Primary School Games: Congratulations to Leanne Conroy who has been selected to represent Boher school on the Primary Tipperay schools panel in camogie.

Ballina Boher girls Under 12 Community games: The girls footballers were recently host to Moycarkey Borris in the Tipperary Community Games football competition. In a match played in poor conditions with cold wind and rain making it very uncomfortable for both teams, Ballin Boher girls had to give best best to  a good Moycarkey Borris team. The girls, many of whom were new to the game, have only beeen together for a few weeks and it’s to their credit that they played very well and  indeed doubtless will feature prominently in future ladies football competitions.    Isobel Farnan and Michelle Sage joint captains, the rest of the squad [ alphabetical order]; Tara Bourke,Jasmyn Butler, Liberty Butler, Kiava Conroy, Emma Duggan, Emma Flynn, Ellen Frahill, Alana Hennessey, Orla Imhoff, Noreen Kennedy,Hazel McMahon, Mila Le Mignon,Ella Murphy Leah O’Brien and Becky Sage.
