Friday, September 13th:   Archbishop Clifford has requested that we make Friday next a Day of Special Prayer for a peaceful resolution to the present crisis is Syria.  Mass in Ballina with exposition at the usual times and Mass in Boher at 7.30pm.  The following prayer may be said daily until Friday: O God, who have revealed that peacemakers are to be called your children, grant, we pray that we may work without ceasing to establish that justice which alone ensures true and lasting peace.  Let us ask Mary to help us to respond to violence, to conflict and to war, with the power of dialogue, reconciliation and love.  She is our Mother, may she help us to find peace.  Help us, Mary, to overcome this most difficult moment and to dedicate ourselves each day to building in every situation an authentic culture of encounter and peace.  Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us.
