Friday Church Services in Ballina: After 10am Mass, the Blessed Sacrament is exposed until 5pm. Prayer of the Church and Benediction at 1.05pm. Why not come along and pray awhile.

Looking for your Path: St. Joseph’s Carmelite Monastery in Tallow, Co. Waterford is offering a Monastic Weekend with the title “Looking for your Path”, from September 21st to September 23rd. Recently Deceased: We would ask you to remember in your prayers the soul of Thomas Fennessy, Bushfield, husband of Mary and father of Pat, whose funeral took place in Boher last week.

Back to School: We welcome all our students and teachers back to Ballina P.S. and Boher N.S. for the coming academic year. We welcome in a special way our new teachers and new pupils to our schools. We ask God’s blessing on all who are involved in our schools.

Recently Baptised: We welcome into God’s family: Jasmine Elise Kavanagh, daughter of William and Hope, Boru Court; and Alicja McKeogh, daughter of Dorota and Seamus, Ballycorrigan who was baptized in Ballina Church recently.

Minor Hurling Final: Well done to Stephen O Brien and Mike Breen who played leading roles with the Tipperary team who drew with Dublin in a very entertaining final last Sunday in Croke Park. They will renew rivalry with the Dubs on Sunday, September 30TH, before the replay of the Senior Final.

Fashion Show: The club is hoping to hold a fashion show in the Lakeside Hotel on Friday, October 19th
with the Alzheimer’s Association who operate Waterman’s Lodge Day Centre. Your support for this fundraiser is critical with a great night’s entertainment guaranteed.

Intermediate Hurlers: This team are scheduled to play Ballinahinch in Nenagh at 5.30pm on Saturday next in the semi-final of the North Tipperary Championship. Our minor hurlers play Toomevara in Toom on Wednesday next at 6.30pm. Both these games are knockout so your support would really be appreciated on the day.
