Friday Church Services in Ballina: After 10am Mass, the Blessed Sacrament is exposed until 5pm. Prayer of the Church and Benediction at 1.05pm. Why not come along and pray awhile.

Knock Festival for Young People: The Summer Festival is a one day event taking place on July 28th. It is for all young people between the ages of 17-30. On this day, young people will come together in a faith setting and deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ. They will explore, ignite and celebrate their faith. The event will have interactive talks, prayer, testimonies from young people as well as drama and music. More details on the Parish Noticeboards.

Sympathy: The club would like to extend its sympathy to Una Kennedy on the death of her sister Mary Dunlea, Ballinaclough, Nenagh and the Larkin family, Summerhill on the death of Mrs Annie Larkin. Ar dheis de gur raibh a hanama dilis.

Intermediate Hurling: Due to weather conditions, the Ballina versus Shannon Rovers game was transferred from Cloughjordan to Nenagh. Playing with the wind in the first half, Ballina were slow to settle and found themselves 2 points down at the interval 0-6 to 1-5. Alan Hogan scoring the goal for Shannon Rovers. Ballina upped the ante in the second half and found themselves level mid-way through the half. The game was a closely fought affair to the finish with Kevin Cosgrave scoring the two points which levelled the game. Ballina introduced three new hurlers to the Intermediate ranks, Aidan
Hanley, Stephen O’Brien and Pat Conway. All made a positive contribution to Ballina’s performance.

County Draw: The first draw will be held next Friday evening. Promoters are asked to make a special effort to return all applications for membership to Draw Co-ordinator, Eugene Power by Wednesday June 6th.
