Rest in Peace:   Please remember in your prayers the soul of Josephine McGrath, Yellowbridge, mother of Margaret, Micheal, T.J., Ann and Jim who died recently.   Also we pray for Michael Kennedy, Grange Rd who died tragically last weekend.

Friday Church Services in Ballina:   After 10am Mass, the Blessed Sacrament is exposed until 5pm.  Prayer of the Church and Benediction at 1.05pm.  Why not come along and pray awhile with us?

Irish Blood Transfusion Service:   The Irish Blood Transfusion Service will be holding a blood clinic in the Lakeside Hotel on Wednesday, July 6th from 6pm to 9pm.  Please give blood and save a life.

Missionary Appeal:   Sr. Leonie Callaghan of the Franciscan Missionary Sisters for Africa who spoke at all Masses recently wishes to thank all for their welcome, financial support and hospitality.  They collected over €2,385 for which they are very grateful.

Congratulations:   Well done to Stephen O’Brien who gave a tremendous display at centre field in Tipperary’s magnificent victory in the Munster Minor Football Final in Killarney, their first since 1995 which was also played at the same venue and featured Brendan McKeogh and Declan Browne.

Feile Brian Boru:   Blessed with glorious weather, both events organized by Ballina GAA club proved to be very successful.   King Puck, which was held on Friday evening drew a huge number of entries and the competition went on for nearly 3 hours.  Sean Collins was the overall winner with several prizes going to our younger participants. The club would like to thank Flanagans for sponsoring this event and the Killaloe Coast Guard without which the event could not have been held. Bubble Ball, which was organized by the Juvenile Club, on Saturday in the Hurling Field was a novelty event which proved to be equally popular with the younger generation.

Sympathy:  The club would like to extend it’s sympathy to the Kennedy family, Grange Rd. on the tragic death of Michael.   Ar dheis de go raibh a anam usail.

Fixtures:   The club would like to extend its good wishes to our Under 16 Footballers who play JK Brackens in the County Semi Final in Dolla and to the Minor hurlers who play Burgess Thursday evening. Also to the Junior A  team who meet Moneygall on Saturday in the North Tipperary Championship.
