Sympathy: The Ballina G.A.A. club would like to extend its deepest sympathy to the family and relatives of the late Jimmy Ryan, Boher. Jimmy played through the fifties and sixties with Ballina.  He won a North Junior medal in 1967 with Ballina before he moved to Dublin and joined the Ballymun Kickham’s club where he continued to play until 1981 when he was voted hurler of the year.  He was a steward in Croke Park for nearly forty years, a job he performed with true dedication. Under 21 Footballers:  This team were the first team in Ballina to do battle in this years championship

as they lined out against a very fancied  Shannon Rovers Gaels last Saturday.  The game was played in ideal weather conditions and Ballina settled very quickly.  At the interval they held a six point lead and did not allow the opposition to score.   In the second half they continued their good work as they managed to score another 5 points as against one for the Rovers. This was a great team effort and Ballina now go on to play Newport in Newport next Saturday.

Registration:  This night will be held in the Complex next Friday night, from 9-30 to 10.00 pm.
