Under 21 Hurling:   Ballina clashed with Nenagh Eire Og in the first round of the North Tipperary Hurling championship in Portroe on Saturday. The game was played in difficult weather conditions with Ballina playing with the aid of a strong breeze in the first half.  They managed to make most of this advantage

and went in with a 4 point lead.  Nenagh with the wind and the rain behind them upped their game and eventually ran out 4 point winners 2-10 to 2-6.

The Intermediate Hurlers:  Minus the services of the Under 21’s and a number of regulars, the Intermediates drew with Sean Treacy’s in Kilcommon last Sunday evening. Ballina play Moyne – Templetouhy in the next round of County the League in Ballina next Sunday.
