Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes:  This pilgrimage takes place from June 16th to  the 21st.  Price €680.  Further details are on the Church Notice Boards.

Wedding Bells:   Congratulations to Helen O’Brien, Gortglassobrien and David O’Donoghue, Mungret, who married recently in Our Lady, Mother of the Church, Boher.

Recently Deceased:   We remember in our prayers Nigel Coulter, son in law of Kathleen Kelly.  Also, Noreen Hanley, sister of Ger and Paul McKeogh, Labadiah.

First Holy Communion:   Last Sunday was the first of three First Holy Communion Days in our Parish.  Half of the children in Ballina Primary School  received last Sunday and the second half will receive on Sunday, May 29th at 1pm.  The children of Boher Primary School will receive on June 12th, at 10.30am.  Thanks to all concerned who assist in their preparation for these great days.

Friday Chruch Services in Ballina:   After 10am Mass, the Blessed Sacrament is exposed until 5pm.  Prayer of the Church and Benediction at 1.05pm.  Why not come along and pray awhile with us?

Phones for Defibrillator:   Sincerest thanks to all who have given an old mobile phone in our endeavour to secure a defibrillator for our area.  We need about 80 more phones.  Could we appeal to you to make a final search in your homes for an unused mobile phone which we can forward to the Jack and Jill Foundation and secure this life saving device for our community.

Intermediate Hurlers:   The Intermediate Hurlers will play St Mary’s, Clonmel in the County League on Sunday 29th May at 11.00am.   The game will be played at a Mid Tipp venue.  Training continues on Wednesday and Friday evenings.  They played a useful challenge against Parteen last Sunday morning in Ballina.

Golf Classic:   The Golf Classic will be held at the Bodyke Golf Course next Friday and Saturday.  There are still tee times available.   Contact any club officer or phone 086 3517921 for more information.

County Draw:  The first  Draw has been put back to Friday June 3rd, allowing more time to increase sales.  Promoters will be out and about the parish in the next 2 weeks and your continued support for this draw is welcome.

Congratulations:   Congratulations to Stephen O Brien who excelled in Tipperary’s great victory over a fancied Kerry Minor Football team and will now play in the Munster Final on Sunday, July 3rd.   Also to Mikey Breen who was part of the Tipperary Minor Hurling panel which comprehensively defeated Cork in Thurles.
