Intermediate Hurlers:  This team play Newport in Nenagh on Saturday at 2.30pm in the semi- final of the North Tipperary Intermediate championship.   Last Thursday evening, they played Holycross in the County League Final, but were minus five of their first team choice.  They came up against an in-form Holycross team and were 3 points down at the interval.  Ballina continued to struggle in the second half and were eventually defeated on a scoreline of 3-15 to 2-9.  A big improvement will be required for Saturday‘s contest and your continued support is vital for this game.

J.J. Nevin Hurling Tournament:  Six teams participated in this year’s Tournament which was held in the local field.   Ballina fielded two teams Ballina Blue and Ballina Red. The Blue team contested the A Final

against last year’s champions Clonlara.   Ballina turned the tables on Sunday and with the wind at their backs in the second half, they managed to score three goals and ran out easy winners. Ballina Red team were defeated in the C Final by Newport.  Silvermines played Killaloe in the B Final.  This year’s Tournament was again a great success and the club would like to thank the organizers and all the clubs who entered teams.
