Sympathy; The club would like to extend its sympathy to the Collins family Boher on the recent death of Christy, who was laid to rest in Burgess Cemetery after Requiem Mass in Boher Church last weekend. Christy hurled with Ballina during the fifties and early sixties and was a lifetime supporter of the club. Ar

Under 21 Footballers; After their impressive performance last weekend, Ballina headed for Newport to play the local team in the second round of the championship.  They found Newport a stiffer challenge and  trailed 1-4 to 0-3 at half time.  Despite a good start in the second half, Ballina found it difficult to find the posts.  Newport managed to score 1-3 early in the half  without reply from Ballina.   This finished the game as a contest. Final score Newport 2-9 Ballina 0-3.

Intermediate Hurlers; Ballina travelled to Ballinderry last Sunday morning to play their first league game. Ballina were slow to settle, with heavy underfoot conditions mading good hurling hard to find.  They trailed 0-5 to 0-2 at half time. In the second half, Ballina playing with the wind, upped the ante, and went on to win by a score 0-9 to 0-6 to Shannon Rovers.  They now go on to play Ballinahinch in the League Final at 2.00pm next Sunday in Dolla . As this is a local derby an exciting game is  guaranteed. All support is vital for this clash.

Presentation; The presentation of Intermediate League Final medals will take place in the Complex next Friday after training at 9.30pm. Everyone is welcome.
