Ballivor U12 Final News

November 7, 2018

A very busy week-end for football opened with both Ballivor U12 teams appearing in their respective Summer League finals. The A Team travelled to Enfield to face the local team. The lasdt time these teams met, Na Fianna of Enfield were comfortable victors. This time, however, the Ballivor team were really up for it. It was a wonderful game of football and the teams could not be separated at full time. Unfortunately, Enfield were the stronger in the extra time period and emerged as victors by 2 points.

The Reserve team travelled to Bective to play St. Colmchilles in the Reserve final Again this was a very close affair with Ballivor trailing by a single point at half time. However, the maroon and White team were much more effective in the second half and emerged as victors by 3 points.

The U12’s this year have had unprecedented success – appearing in 4 finals and winning 2 of them. A note of sincere thanks must be given to all involved – especially the players, parents and the mentors. It bodes well for the club that we have had such success in 2010.
