Though it was a low scoring game, it was a highly competitive one with the action constantly switching from one end of the pitch to the other. Both teams were guilty of some poor finishing. Often the play in the build up was very high quality, but for the final shot to be wide of the mark. That being said, Dunboyne had the better luck in front of goal and try as Ballivor might, they seemed destined to lose this encounter as they could not seem to take their scores. That was until only a few minutes from the end when, after some intense ballivor pressure, the ball broke to the full forward who punched into the net giving Ballivor the well deserved draw. A few final skirmishes did not change that score. It was a good performance by the girls from Ballivor – with each game they are coming together more and more as a team. There were some very strong individual performances by Kelsey Hynes in defence, in midfield with Leah Kelly & Andrea Ward and in the forwards by Louise Smith and Aishling Dowling.
