Ballivor U8's make their first outing in the Maroon & White

The U8 players travelled to Bohermeen to particpate in the Go Games blitz this week-end. It was a very well organised day with 5 teams participating and everone getting to play everyone else. The players all had a great time and the good feeling was palpable. These blitzes are the first taste of organised competition for these players and are very important in their development. The entire focus of the game is participation, fun and fair play. I know that all of the players who were there on Saturday are looking forward to the blitz next week. I hope that the mentors will have better luck finding the pitch.
