Barna GAA is teaming up with local supermarket, Supervalu, on a new promotion that could see the club score some new kit.
Clarke’s Supervalu in Barna is running a new competition where it has top-of-the-range football gear to give away to a local sports club.
Similar to promotions being run in Tesco, Supervalu will give a blue chip to customers who spend a certain amount of money in-store.
The customers will be asked to deposit the blue chip into one of three bowls – one for Barna GAA Club, one for Bearna/Na Forbacha hurling club and one for the local soccer club.
By depositing the chip in Barna GAA’s bowl you are ‘voting’ for it to be nominated as the club to win the award.
The prize for the winning club is an O’Neill’s hamper including bibs, balls, cones and other gear for underage teams.
“Many Barna GAA members and supporters already shop in their local Supervalu and we encourage those who do, to deposit their blue chips into the Barna GAA bowl in-store so that we have a greater chance of winning the gear,” a club spokesperson said.
The promotion begins this coming Monday.
