Best of luck to Elaine Harte and the Cork Ladies Footballers

November 7, 2018

White’s Cross GAA extends best wishes to Cork Senior Ladies Football goalkeeper Elaine Harte in the upcoming All-Ireland clash against Kerry at Croke Park. This game had been pencilled into the GAA Master Calendar for the last Sunday of September, but was put back to October 7th because of the replay in the senior hurling final. Whilst the male counterparts of this ladies team have not fared well against Kingdom opposition at GAA headquarters, these all-conquering Rebelettes will enter the game as raging hot favourites having dominated this competition, winning 6 of the last 7 All Irelands. Elaine has been an ever present in the team in all these All Ireland successes. The White’s Cross native is now living in Co. Tipperary and has recently taken up a teaching post in Kilkenny – but despite all this still commands the number one shirt on Eamonn Ryan’s side. Corcaigh abú arís!
