The intermediate team completed the league as they started with victories over Nemo Rangers and Inch Rovers in the last two group games.  Nemo were played at home on Good Friday and beaten on a scoreline of 3.13 to 1.7.  Inch Rovers second team were our final game and with yet again a different first fifteen playing a tough game was encountered.  Bride Rovers fought hard to win by 3.10 to 1.8.  28 players played at different stages during the 7 league games played over two months.  With six wins out of seven the team finish in the top two in the league securing a semi- final place.   The focus is now turned to an East Cork semi-final against Watergrasshill which will be played in the coming weeks and then competitions will take  a back seat as the exams take over. Junior B Ladies Football

History was created in the club on Monday last when a second adult team was fielded in competition for the first time.  This team was introduced to allow players gain increased match time in a competitive environment.  Great credit is due to both young and not so young players who battled hard with neighbours Fermoy in the first round of the East Cork championship.  Rathcormac was the venue and on a wet dreary evening the girls fought diligently only to be beaten by two scores.  The result was 2.10 to 1.7 and Fermoy were deserving winners.  In the next number of weeks a second game will be scheduled for this team.

Panel and scorers V  Fermoy B: Eadaoin Cashman, Imelda Dorgan, Erin O’ Keeffe, Mary McHugh, Carol Noonan, Mary Hazelwood, Claire Murphy, Trish O’ Sullivan, Clodagh Butler, Katie Kelleher, Michelle Boyce, Sinead O’ Driscoll, Deirdre Moroney, Rebecca Howard, Aine Cashman, Katie O’ Connor, Dayna Connolly, Yris Bloemhoff, Shannon Sheehan.

Junior Camogie

Friday, April 29th

Result: Bride Rovers : 2.13

            Sars 2:            0.04

On a beautiful evening for camogie, we played Sars at home. From the off, we dominated the play and built up a large lead by half time. The forwards contributed some fine scores to make the half time score 2.12 to a point. Two changes were made at half time which saw Shannon Sheehan come on at corner back, while Yris Bloemhoff took up a corner forward position. The second half was a more level affair. We had numerous wides and only added a point to the scoreboard with Sars putting over three points from  frees. The team played very well and special praise needs to be given to Jenny, Mary, Chloe and Shannon who all played an U16 game the night before.
