Bride Rovers Ladies Football & Camogie Club notes.

Intermediate Football
The intermediate team’s winning run in the league came to an end on Sunday, April 17th when they were well beaten by Rockban on a scoreline of 4-11 to 0-7.

Upcoming fixtures  : Intermediate Ladies Football League  Bride Rovers vs Nemo Rangers, Friday, April 22nd at 7pm.

Junior C Football

The first Junior C fixture, against Fermoy B, will take place during the week ending Sunday, May 1st. A training session for this group will be organised beforehand.

Junior Camogie

We played our first league match against Passage West on Friday, April 15th. Some girls were missing through injury and others playing county fixtures but we had a panel of 17 girls nonetheless. We started very well with some fine scores and led 2-7 to 0-1 at half-time. We carried on in the second half as we had in the first winning on a margin of 3-12 to 1-1.

Gaelic for Mothers

GFM activity for 2011 resumed with training in Pynes on Monday, April 18th at 7pm and it was great to see a good turnout. All new members will be welcome of course and the next training session will be on Wednesday, April 27th. The first GFM blitz is scheduled for Drimoleague on Saturday, April 30th.

U16 Ladies Football & Camogie

Sunday, April 17th. U16 Camogie League.
Dungourney 1-2             Bride Rovers 1-3.

U14 Ladies Football & Camogie

Bride Rovers U14 Camogie team was scheduled to play Sars C in Buck Leary’s cross on Wednesday, April 20th but I do not have the result at time of writing this report.

Upcoming fixtures (to be confirmed by team management) : U14 East Cork Ladies Football League  – Bride Rovers vs Midleton.

U12 Ladies Football & Camogie

I don’t have the result of the first league game away to Fermoy on Wednesday, April 20th  to hand but let’s hope the girls acquitted themselves well.

Upcoming fixtures (to be confirmed by team management) : U12 East Cork Ladies Football League  – Bride Rovers vs Carrigtwohill, Tuesday, 26th April.

Intercounty News

Jennifer Barry played as a second half sub in Cork’s U18 Camogie 1-10 to 1-3 win over Limerick on Sunday, April 17th. Jennifer played for the U18 footballers recently also and her all-round ability and flexibility is remarkable.

Cork Senior Ladies Footballers qualified for the National League Final when they defeated Donegal in Tuam on Sunday, April 17th. Best of luck from everyone in the club to Grace Kearney and Eleanor Ahern.
