U16 Ladies Football Sunday, March 6. Bride Rovers 0-3 Midleton 1-9. Our U16 team suffered defeat in their opening league game at Rathcormac on Sunday, March 6. While Midleton were deserving winners, the scoreline perhaps did not do our girls justice as they battled well throughout and left everything on the pitch. There is certainly plenty of potential in the panel and we can look forward to far more promising results in the weeks ahead. U14 Ladies Football Fixtures for our second U14 team will start shortly, probably with our first game against Rockban B on Sunday, March 20th. Upcoming fixture (to be confirmed by team management) U14 East Cork Ladies Football League – Bride Rovers Team 1 vs St Colemans, Saturday March 12th. U12 Ladies Football & Camogie U12 training in both football and camogie continues on Saturday mornings and a new time of 10:30am is being proposed. However, it is hoped to arrange our first friendly football game of the season during next weekend starting Friday, March 11th. Team management will text details when these are finalised. U10 Ladies Football and Camogie U10 training will resume in a couple of weekends time. Team management will text details. Intercounty News Cork – v – Donegal 4th round in C.I.T @ 12 noon on Sunday, March 6th. Half Time Score Cork 4.07 to Donegal 3 pts. Final Score Cork 5.17 Donegal 0.07. Grace Kearney started, wore 14 but played the no 12 position and scored 1.01. Eleanor Ahern was replaced by Breige Corkery in the starting 15 but came on in the last 10th minutes. Cork are now joint 2nd with Donegal with Monaghan at the top of the table having won all their games to date. Next Sunday, March 14th, Cork are away to Laois, no time and venue yet.
