United returned to winning ways with a thoroughly deserved 3-2 win over Inch in Dysart Park. Brideview took the lead from the penalty spot when David McInerney converted. Moments later Pedro Enrique furthered the Tallow sides lead before Inch clawed there way back to 2-1. Clive Good further extended Brideviews lead to put us 3-1 up at the break. Inch pulled another goal back but United held out for the remainder of the game to get a valuable three points on the board.

Brideview continued their unbeaten run last Sunday but will be disappointed to come away with only the one point when they drew with Pinewood. United took the lead when Thomas Ryan was felled in the box after being put through by Michael Curley. It was Curley himself who converted the spot on 11mins. Brideview bossed the game for large periods but couldn’t convert the many opportunities they created. Pinewood themselves hit the crossbar and came close on a couple of occasions through Keith Guiry but Billy Sheehan once again kept us in the game. However with seconds left on the clock Pinewood slipped the United defence to score the all important equaliser much to the dismay of the large home crowd.

Tony Bolger Cup Final
Brideview take on Pinewood in what is a repeat of last years final next Monday at Kinsalebeg. Both teams played each other on Sunday and it resulted in stalemate but both sides were short a few through injury so when it comes to the final it will be all to play for. Brideview will more thank likely be without injured duo of Eric Hickey and Stephen Pratt but will be buoyed by the return of William Henley after suspension. So we urge all our fans to turn up for the final on Monday and if you cant make it we will see you back at our Club Sponsors Bar ( Clancy’s ) after the match win or lose.
