On Monday 15th May last a selection of St. Sylvester’s hurlers born after 1st August 2006 won bronze medals in the Community Games with a victory over Iona in Bridgefield. Malahide won on a score-line of 5-3 to 2-4 against the Na Fianna selection. It was a very competitive game with great skills on display from both sides. This was a satisfactory finish to this team’s participation in the Community Games. In the first round the boys recorded a big victory away to St. Jude’s before they were beaten in the semi-final away to Marino/Fairview at St. Vincent’s grounds.
