Cheltenham Success

November 8, 2018

Great celebrations were held in Kilmaine Village over the past two weeks. Congratulations to Padraig King, Turin/ Chicago and Pat Flannery, Kilmaine on their recent win in The Cheltenham Race Meeting. Chicago Grey won the National Hunt four-mile chase in Cheltenham on March 16. The eight year old came from the back to win for the seventh time. The local men both said that it was like bringing the Sam Maguire home to Mayo. Padraig King flew in from Chicago especially for the event and to join in the celebrations in Kilmaine. Chicago Grey is a horse to look out for in the future and may race in the upcoming Scottish Grand National. As celebrations continue in Kilmaine best wishes are extended to both Padraig and Pat on their success and in the future
