The annual Christmas Shoe Box Appeal has been launched Nationwide with schools, local communities and churches, requesting people to create gift filled shoe boxes as Christmas gifts to children caught in the midst of wars, natural disasters and extreme poverty . The shoe boxes can be dropped off at collection points – schools and post offices before November 10. Shoe boxes should be wrapped in Christmas paper (lid separate), mark boy or girl on sticker whichever the donor chooses; and an envelope for €3 (contribution towards transport)
