Well done to our Fat Boys, who have raised lots of money for the National Children’s Hospital and the under age players. David Pettit presented a cheque for one thousand euro to the National Children’s Hospital on Saturday night last, at the Longford Team of the championship. Well done to all the players who represented Dromard on the Longford team of the year, Damien Sheridan, Niall Vance, David Pettit, Donie Conefrey, Jamsie Martin and Frankie Magee and also special congratulations to Frankie Magee on becoming Longford player of the year.

Shannonside Sports Beat program presented by John Lynch will be broadcast live form the Breffni Arms Arva on Friday evening next Dec 14th in celebration of the successful year had by the club. The program will feature interviews with players, management and local celebrities in addition to music and song, please come along at 5.30pm for what will be an entertaining evening. The program will be followed by a session for all the budding youngsters in the area, Music, Song, Dance, Storytelling etc. Also, the final of the Fat Boy Slim will take part. Any outstanding Money should be given to Paul Hourican. Tickets for our development draw, will be available also, they are currently on sale from any club executive or member, cost €50 with a prize fund of €30,000, this draw is to fund the development of our centre of excellence which will be build adjacent to our current facilities and will be a focal point for the youth of the surrounding areas containing such facilities as a youth café, gym facility and Astroturf pitches to name just a few.
