MINOR LEAGUE – O’RAGHALLAIGH GALES

O’Raghallaigh Gales secured a 5 point win over Ballymachugh on Saturday. O’Raghallaigh Gales 2-07 Ballymachugh 2-12.

 

Round 5 against St. Josephs will take place on Sunday 11th March at 2pm in Kingscourt.

 

The presentation to the 2011 Cavan Minor Championship winners in Dun a Ri on Saturday night.   Thank you to everyone who attended, a great night was had by all.

 

UNDERAGE – TRAINING

Underage training has resumed in the park.

 

Under 14’s on Mondays, Under 12’s on Tuesday and Under10’s on Thursdays. All training sessions start at 6.45PM.

 

REGISTRAION DAY

Registration for all under age players will take place this Saturday March 10th   in the park from 10.30am until 1.00pm. There will be a small gift for each child. All welcome.

The winning numbers in the Lotto this week were 06, 08, 10, 21 Bonus 12 no Jackpot winner, 4 match 3’s.

 EAST CAVAN GALES HURLING CLUB NEWS

 

8s and 10s blitz Carrick and 12s prep for league……..

 

Under 8/10;

The under 8s and 10s had a great days hurling at the Phoenix Center in Carrrickmacross last Saturday. They had two teams entered in both age groups and each had five great matches culminating with the meeting of both ECG teams in the final rounds. They head back to Carrick again next Saturday for round two with matches against Monaghan teams Castleblayney, Carrickmacross, Inniskeen and from Cavan Celtic Hurling Club.

 

Meet at 9.30am sharp at the Bailieborough Community School car park. No training on Fridays in March just the Carrick blitzes and when the clocks change at the end of the month the boys will move outside for the summer.

 

Under 12/14;

Preparation is well under way for the under 12 league which starts on March 20th. There will be three rounds of the league before a finals blitz on the 3G in Breffni. Training continues every Sunday from 3-4.30 at Celtic AFC soccer grounds The Vale. New players welcome.
