U-21’S
The U-21’s entered (and sadly exited) the Championship at the weekend when they were defeated on a score line of 2-6 to 2-4 by Castlerahan in Ballyjamesduff on Sunday.  A decent opening half saw us lead at halftime but a failure to score in the second half resulted in a quarter-final exit and a finish to the competitive season at all grades.

INDOOR JUVENILE TRAINING

U-8 & U-10 hurling continues every Wednesday 6-7pm in the Community Centre. All gear supplied. Due to the great numbers turning out some new coaches/ mentors are required for theses new hurlers, so please contact Willie at training if you wish to give a hand out. Similar training for football will hopefully resume when the main hall is available next month so watch this space…..

GAA ORAL HISTORY PROJECT
The GAA Oral History Project is an opportunity to be involved in the largest sport’s history project in the world. Every club has its own unique stories, personalities and experiences and this project wants to make sure that our club’s history is recorded so that future generations will know the contribution that our club and individual members in our locality have made to the GAA and have your story preserved in the GAA Museum in Croke Park.

This is not just a story about the famous players and famous matches, but about the grassroots who are responsible for keeping the Association alive. This project aims to be a representative survey of attitudes to and experiences of the GAA among Irish people – be they good or bad.

To get involved, just click here and look at the various options. You could maybe ask your teacher to do a class project or contact Niall Reilly if you can think of someone who you fell the club should contact in this regard.  For more details on this project you can contact the Project Team directly via www.gaahistory.com or give Arlene Crampsie a ring on 01-6147456.
