SENIORS & JUNIORS

The Seniors kept their league hopes alive with a much needed victory during the week went they made the trip to Ballyhaise after three consecutive defeats.  A super opening half saw us rediscover our missing goalscoring touch as we hit 2-6 to have a healthy halftime lead.  However the second half proved a different story and the home side gradually started to narrow the gap but we held on for a 2-9 to 1-8 victory.

This coming weekend sees the Seniors & Juniors play their final league matches before their respective championships when a double header takes place down the Park on Saturday evening against Belturbet at 6pm & 7.30pm. Senior game has been confirmed to be first.

UNDERAGE

The draws for both the Minor & U-16 Championships were confirmed in the past week. In both competitions we are amalgamated with Shercock and will enter as O’Raghallaigh Gaels at the quarter final stage. The 16s are first into action when they face St. Killians (Cuchullains/Killinkere) this week on Tuesday (12th) @ 7.30pm with the winners meeting either Mullahoran or Castlerahan in the Semi Final. The Minors have a bit longer to wait as they are not in action until Tuesday 16th August when they also begin at home, this time they face St. Josephs.

The Boys U-13’s got their first win of the season last week with a 6-13 to 1-7 victory away to Castlerahan. The Girl’s U-13 game against Cavan Gaels this week has been called off.  Unfortunately I have no fixtures of upcoming games for either side though. The 8s & 10s are playing away with plenty of challenges and blitzes being organised. Recent matches have seen the sides play Rathkenny, Castletown, Kells and Oldcastle. James will have us competing in the Feis Cup next at this rate….

CLUB MERCHANDISE
The club is delighted to announce that a new batch of club merchandise will be available directly from the club by the end of the month at little more than cost price.  The options will include replica jerseys, polo shirts, jackets, training tops and hats.  The jerseys are already up on www.kingscourtstars.ie and the other gear should be up later this week. Jerseys are a steal ranging from just €25- €35.

Sizes will range from the 8 to 80 with prices varying depending on size but as said they will practically be sold at cost price.  You can get a look at the range of products on the website, at Senior home matchs or Sunday juvenile training. Alternatively you can ring Niall on 086 8237382 or ask the various team managers for more details.
