MINORS
The Minors trod out on O’Raghalliagh Park for the first competitive match this year when they hosted Crosserlough at the weekend. Despite a shaky start, the lads managed to get into the swing of things and grinded out a narrow 1-10 to 1-8 victory. Next up a trip to Gowna on Saturday (26th). Currently down for 12 noon, but that may change…..

LADIES AGM
This year’s AGM takes place in the Club Pavillion at 8.30pm on Tuesday. This section of the club has grown massively in the past few years under the guidance of Pat Farrelly. We would ask anyone with an interest in the ladies section, or whose daughter either plays/trains with the one of the clubs underage teams, or indeed who’s daughter is interested in starting to play, to please attend.

SCOR
Commiserations to the Question Time team of Jim McGovern, Joe McCarthy and John Forkan, who failed to trouble the County Champions in the Scór County Finals in Mullahoran on Friday night. However, given that Cornafean didn’t get a single question wrong, well it’s fair to say that no one troubled them, not even the quizmaster! Well done again to the lads on again reaching the final and continuing to mark the club’s attempts to maintain participation in the Scór events.

MEMBERSHIP
2011 club membership is due again and can be paid in Pat Faulkner’s or M&F’s shops, or indeed to any committee member. Membership remains the same at €50 for players (€30 for Students/Unemployed) and €20 for Juvenile or Non-Players.Players can also be paid to your various team managers or captains and can also be paid online  for those that are away from the town, just click here.

We cannot stress how important membership is to the club’s finances and it is imperative that all club members pay same over the next month or so to ensure the club can continue to be properly run.As an incentive to supporters to join the club, fully paid up members of the club can avail of discounts into home matches and on upcoming club merchandise. You will also receive complimentary refreshments after home games!! Sure, you’d be mad not to join…
