MEMBERSHIP

2011 club membership is due again and can be paid in Pat Faulkner’s or M&F’s shops, or indeed to any committee member.  Membership remains the same at €50 for players (€30 for Students/Unemployed) and €20 for Juvenile or Non-Players.

Players can also be paid to your various team managers or captains and can also be paid online via www.kingscourtstars.ie for those that are away from the town.  The club membership is a vital part of the club’s finances and it is imperative that all club members pay same over the next month or so to ensure the club can continue to be properly run.

The Club is also looking at arranging a number of discounts that will only be available to club members throughout the year, but more details will follow on that. Also, if you ain’t a paid up member, then don’t come looking for tickets when Cavan get to the All-Ireland……

TRAINING

The frantic search for the old boots, hats and gloves, the crunch of frost under foot, the heavy blowing as you head round another corner, the despair when you realise that it’s still Lap 1!!! Yeah, it can only mean one thing, pre-season training is back among us.Fair play to all those who have already braved the conditions so far. For those who haven’t ventured just yet, well don’t worry, new and old members alike, are all more than welcome.

Senior & Junior training takes place on Tuesdays and Fridays at 8pm down the park with the Minors starting this week on Wednesday at 7.30pm in Community Centre.  I believe 16s will start soon also so watch this space….. The rest of ye can take it easy for the time being, however if you are feeling eager, remember the old pitch won’t refuse laps from anyone!!!

2011 CALENDAR

The new 2011 club calendar is still available from Niall Reilly and local shops such as Pat Faulkner’s, M&F’s, Robbie O’Connell’s, Pat’s Shop and McNally’s Pharmacy for just €10 or €15 for two.

DINNER DANCE

The Club Dinner Dance is on Friday 11th February 2011 and will take place in The Bailie Hotel. Tickets are €35 and are available from the usual suspects! The 2010 Senior Championship medals will be presented on the night and music is by The Texas Wildcats.

LOTTO

The winning numbers in this week’s lotto were 02, 08, 19 & 20 (Bonus 26), and they were indeed winning. Congrats to the one and only Sadie O’Reilly who wins the jackpot of €6,800. In the club’s ongoing generosity, the two Match 3’s (Sean Farrelly & Daniel McCullagh) also win €100 each.

So after no money going out after the first two weeks of the year, the last two weeks has seen the newly formed finance sub-committee’s budget take a serious battering!!!

Next week’s draw takes place in M&F’s on Sunday 30th January and the jackpot returns to €2,000 (€7,000 including the bonus).

TRAINING COURSE

The Level One Training Course being ran by the club was been re-arranged.  It will now take place on the last two Fridays & Saturdays in February ( 18th, 19th, 25th & 26th) in the Community Centre. If anyone was any queries on it, you can contact James Brown on 086 8640380
