SENIORS

All roads lead to Breffni this Sunday, well there’s only the one road and it’s a horrible one, but hey, it’s a county final so we’ll gladly travel it.  Best of Luck to the players and management in the Final against Cavan Gaels on Sunday @ 4pm.

The size of the task at hand is monumental but the side has rose to the occasions throughout the year and we have no doubt they will do themselves and the club proud. We would encourage as many people as possible to make the trip to the game, especially those with young kids, who have brought so much colour and excitement to our previous matches.

On that, the club has also organised face painting from 11am to 12 noon on Sunday morning down the park for any children (or adults for that matter!) who wish to get an extra bit of colour before they head to Breffni

GIRLS U-14

After months of undercover work, I’ve managed to infiltrate an undercover spy among the Girls teams (this year’s Girls, are last years 10s!).  Despite a brave performance, the girls  failed to reach the Championship final, as they came up against a strong St. Finbarrs side.

Not the most comprehensive report I’ll admit, but hey as Girl’s info goes, it’s positively thorough!  Pictures from the day will hopefully be up on www.kingscourtstars.ie later this week, unless James has followed Sam down South with the camera…..

LOTTO

The winning numbers in this week’s lotto were 03, 12, 19 & 23 (Bonus 01).  There was no jackpot winner but the following four Match 3 winners won €50 each – Ruth Mullen, Eileen Mulholland, Joe Carry & Kevin Clarke. Next week’s jackpot will be €3,600 (€8,600 including bonus) and the draw will take place in Freemans.

COUNTY FINAL PREPARATIONS

The club would like to thank all the local shops, businesses and houses for their show of support already for the final.  The level of colour and good luck messages is great to see and combined with the super work the Tidy Town Committee have been doing means that the Main St and the surrounding areas are looking super.  Hopefully we can get the same level of colour in Breffni for the match.

On a related note, we would also like to thank all our sponsors who have assisted in the additional costs incurred in reaching the final and also Trisha Wakely who made the super lamp post banners.

Finally, as mentioned above, we would love for as many kids as possible to make the trip and sample the excitement of a county final (while some of us were brought up on these, this will be a new experience for most) so as per the recent schools visits by juvenile chairman, James Brown,  the club would be delighted to arrange transport for any juvenile supporters who are unable to make the trip for whatever reason. Just contact James on 086 8640380.
