SENIORS

The Seniors opened their return to Division One with an impressive 1-13 to 0-10 victory away to Lacken (who ironically were the team to relegate us back in 2007).  A good team performance across the board and Ryan McCormack’s first half goal put us on the way.  For a detailed match report, please click here.

Next up is a home match against Denn @ 4pm on Sun 25th and after that a trip to Lavey on Bank Holiday Saturday.

JUNIORS

The Juniors however had a day to forget on Sunday enduring a marathon trek up to Swanlinbar.  With the panel threadbare to begin with, the loss of both midfielders in the opening 10 minutes meant the introduction of the sub-keeper….  All told a pretty miserable day and a 3-20 to 1-3 defeat.

Redemption hopes come quickly though as we host Cornafean @ 12 noon on Sun 25th and after that a trip to Mountnugent on Bank Holiday Saturday.

MINORS

The Minors secured a semi-final spot with a 1-18 to 1-11 victory away to Laragh Utd in their final group match on Friday evening.  They will now meet Killinkere over the May Bank Holiday for a place in the league final.  Congrats to all connected with the side for a super finish to the campaign.

UNDERAGE

The 16s host St. Joseph’s on Tues (20th) @ 7pm down the park in their second match of the season with a trip to St. Killians the following week.

The 14s narrowly lost their opening match last week by 2-9 to 3-4 against Crosserlough.  This week sees them face a trip to Lacken on Thursday evening followed by a home tie against Cavan Gaels the following week.

The 12s gained a victory in their opening match against Cuchullains last week in their blitz-based league.  Tonight (Mon) sees them visit Denn before hosting Bailieboro next Monday evening.

The 8s & 10s are training away but I don’t think they have any blitzes just yet however, the 8s have switched their training day from Sunday mornings to 6.30pm on Wednesday evenings.

I believe the Girls underage teams are also in action but I don’t have any details on them I’m afraid, so if you do, please drop me a line to info@kingscourtstars.ie or give your manager a dig and tell him to!!

For details of the remaining fixtures for all the underage sides, please check out the various team tabs on www.kingscourtstars.ie

LOTTO

There was no winner of this week’s Lotto and with John Reilly claiming €200 for being the only Match 3.  The winning numbers were 10, 21, 22 & 27 (Bonus 08).  Next week’s jackpot will be €8,400 (€13,400 including the bonus) and the draw will be in Malones on Sunday 25th April.
