SENIORS & JUNIORS

After the longest winter break in memory, training starts up this week with the boots having to be dusted off for 8pm on Friday.  As always, any new or old players looking for one more comeback, are more than welcome to join the fold and will be gladly accepted if they hit the Park on Friday night.

After training, there will be a club social night in Murtagh’s Bar  where last year’s Seniors & Juniors will both be presented with their league medals following last year’s table-topping promotion successes.  This should be a great night with food & entertainment all provided on the night.  There is no cover charge for the night but there will be a donations box at the door with all proceeds going to Concern’s Haiti Appeal.

JUVENILE REGISTRATION DAY

The club held it’s first ever juvenile registration day in the Club Pavillion on Saturday morning and it proved a huge success with nearly 150 children of all ages, races and backgrounds involved.  With refreshments available and old matches, pictures and articles on show it was great to see young and old staying around enjoying themselves.

A big thanks to all those who volunteered and good luck to all the players and management in the season ahead.
For existing adult and underage members who have not yet paid up, tick, tock, tick tock!!! Registrations can be made to team management, committee members or dropped into Pat Faulkner or M&F.

To make it even easier for ye, this year you have got the added option of going online.  Just go to www.kingscourtstars.ie and follow the simple instructions and we will send out our new membership card to you and you will avail of all the perks of being a member of Kingscourt Stars GAA…..

MINORS

The Minors got their first victory of the season at the weekend with a hard-fought 1-9 to 1-7 victory over Castlerahan down the Park.  An early Cian McArdle penalty setting them on the right road.  A small report and pictures from the match are now on the website.  Next up is an away match v Shercock on Sunday (28th) @ 2pm.

U-14’s

Training for the U-14’s starts on Sunday at 11.30am down the park.  Dave Burke & Pat Faulkner will take charge this year and as usual new members are most welcome, even if you didn’t make the registration day at the weekend.
