REGISTRATION

It’s not all about kicking balls you know!  A bit of paperwork is required at the start of the year to keep the club going.  As such, we would ask all adult players & members to pay their registration as soon as possible to club registrar, Gabriel Patterson.  Registration can also be made to any committee member or dropped into Pat Faulkner or M&F.

To make it even easier for ye, this year you have got the added option of going online.  Just click here and follow the simple instructions and we will send out our new membership card to you and you will avail of all the perks of being a member of Kingscourt Stars GAA…..

Finally, as if that is not enough, ye will get a final change to join up when the club hold their registration day in the Club Pavillion on Saturday 20th February from 10am to 1pm. This day will primarily be for juvenile and parent registrations but all forms of registration will be accepted.

MINORS

Training sessions for the Minors continue at 7.30pm on Wednesdays with their opening league match fixture away to Killinkere on Sat 13th February @ 2pm followed by a home match v Castlerahan the following Saturday @ 2pm.

U-16’s

The 16’s continue training at 8pm on Friday.  This week they also competed in the re-arranged Christy Shiels Memorial Cup.  They were grouped with Templeport, Cuchullains & Bailieboro and registered three victories.  They qualify for the knockout stages next weekend, again on the 3G pitch in Breffni.

SENIORS

With the league not due to start until April there is not much movement on this side.  However, a prize-giving night has been arranged for Friday 26th to award last year’s Division Two medals. By this stage all the management issues should be resolved and training will be kicking off also.

In the meantime, for those of you suffering withdrawal symptoms, why not go along to Breffni this Saturday evening and support senior club captain, Alan Clarke and the rest of the Cavan team in their league match against Antrim.

WEBSITE

Details of the various teams, fixtures and management is slowly starting to filter through from the hierarchy.

The 1996 Seniors v 1976 Intermediate Championship-winning side addition to Stars TV is proving very popular and is well worth a look.  The website will also have a new poll where you can choose the next clip to be added, so watch this space…..
