SENIORS

The Seniors were in action over the weekend at home to Bailieboro in Division 2. A good performance throughout saw us play some impressive stuff and we eventually pulled away for a comfortable 1-15 to 0-9 victory.  Next up is two away trips to Cootehill and Killinkere on Wed 21st and Sat 24th respectively.

For a more detailed match report please log onto www.kingscourtstars.ie. later in the week.

JUNIORS

The Juniors faced a difficult Division 4 match away to Mullahoran on Sunday.  An entertaining game was in the balance the whole way but the home side eventually prevailed by 1-13 to 0-12.  Next up is a home tie v Ballinagh at 7pm on Sat 17th.

U-21’s

The draw for the U-21 championship was made last month.  Kingscourt face a difficult opening tie, away to Mullahoran.  If they get through that it would be away to Castlerahan or Ballinagh in the quarter-finals.  Well, there’s nothing like a challenge lads!

JUVENILE

The U-16’s made it two wins out of three over the bank holiday with a 1-13 to 0-13 victory over Killinkere.  A report on this can be seen on www.kingscourtstars.ie. Their match away to Killygarry due for last weekend was postponed. Next scheduled match is home to Laragh Utd on Fri 16th at 7.15pm

The U-14’s continued their high-scoring 100% record as they powered into the league semi-finals with an impressive victory away to Laragh Utd last week.  A double header is now scheduled for Bailieboro on Tues 12th.  First out is Shercock v Ramor Utd with our match v Cavan Gaels to follow at 7.45pm.

As the scorelines indicate, these U-14 games are as entertaining a anything you will see and we would ask everyone to make the effort to go along and support the side in this big match.

The U-12’s are through to the quarter final however that match has not been confirmed.  In the interim the regional blitzes start this weekend with Kingscourt in action on Saturday morning in Bailieboro.

FEILE NA OG

GAA President, Nicky Brennnan, and Lady President, Geraldine Giles, will visit St. Joseph’s School, Kingscourt on Monday 19th May at 10am.  They will announce details of the forthcoming Feile Na Og which will takes place from 4th -6th July.  St Joseph’s school will play host to pupils from six other schools on this date. Parents are invited to attend this special event. Pupils will be encouraged to wear their club or county jerseys on this day.

GOOD LUCK

The Club wishes both Cavan sides the best of luck in Casement Park on Sunday and we hope that a large contingent from both club and county will make the trip to support the teams.  This year we have a special interest in the Minors with Colm Smith, Barry Reilly and Thomas Rodgers representing themselves and the club with distinction on the minor panel.

Best of luck lads and we would ask any Kingscourt people considering heading to Casement to make an extra-special effort to get there for ALL of the minor match to cheer on Colm, Barry and Thomas.
