SENIORS

This weekend sees the Senior side make the trip to Killeshandra to face Stephen King’s young side.  After winning the Div 3 League & Junior Championship double in 2007, Killeshandra are one of the upcoming sides within the county.

Despite their recent defeat to Drumgoon, Killeshandra remain top to Division 2 and this match will be a major test for us.  Throw in is at 6pm on Monday evening.

JUNIORS

The Juniors secured their second victory of the season with a thrilling 2-11 to 2-10 victory away to Killygarry last weekend.  Once again the usual Jekyll & Hyde performance saw a six point deficit overturned to gain a tremendous victory.

This weekend sees a home tie v Belturbet at 2pm on Sunday and hopes will be high for the 100% run to continue.

JUVENILE

The U-16’s faced a trip to Shercock last night in their second league match.  A tough battle was played out and the home side came through 0-12 to 0-7.  The side will have a quick chance to resume winning ways at home to Killinkere on Monday 5th.

The U-14’s will seek to finish of their league campaign with a 100% record as they play away to Shercock tonight (Tuesday).  Irrespective of the result they will be out again next week in the knockout stages.

The U-12’s registered their first victory of the season last week.  In a drenched O’Raghaillaigh Park, the young Stars beat Castlerahan 2-9 to 2-3.  A thoroughly deserved victory, especially in the conditions, and they will hope to finish the league on a positive note with a trip to Bailieboro on Thurs 1st May at 6.45pm.

U-10 training has started on Sunday mornings.  U-8 training is every Wednesday at 6.30pm, starting 30th April.  All welcome.

CONGRATULATIONS

Congrats to Senior Player, Michael Finnegan, on yet another All-Ireland title last weekend.  Partnered with Paul Brady they notched up another Senior Doubles title.  Well Done to both.

We also offer congrats to Ryan McCormack on his marriage to Sandra Power this weekend.

GUESTBOOK

Avid website followers will have noticed that our guestbook has been inactive for some time now.  However, it’s all back running now, so please feel free to leave your comments about any aspects relating to the club. Whether they concern the teams, committee or the website, or even just GAA in general, all are welcome, (even the bad ones, although we’ll probably just ignore those!)
