On Wednesday the Minor 2 Team played Caheragh in The Rebel Og West Minor B1 Football Championship in Leap. Very little separated the teams in a tough first half with Caheragh ahead by the minimum at half time on a scoreline , Carbery Rangers 2-03 Caheragh 1-07, with the Ross goals coming from Joe Hicks and Ray Shanahan. But Caheragh pulled away in the second half and won 4-14 to 2-04. On Thursday The U14's put in a tough hour against a very strong St Colm's team in The U14 Championship. Colm's were physically stronger and credit to the Ross boys who did their best all through the game to counteract the strength of the Colm's team. Colm's won the game comfortably. Congratulations to our Scór Sinsir Balad Group who were crowned All Ireland Champions earlier this year and had the huge honour of performing in Croke Park on Sunday last for All Ireland Football Day. A very proud moment for the club, Sinead Sean Ciara Danny and Claire and their families.
The Club would like to wish Con & Pat O Neill of O Neill Sports Shop Clonakilty , and their families, a very happy retirement after 41 years of providing a great service to both our Club and its members.
