ALL IRELAND B U-21 HURLING FINAL
Kerry retained the Bord Gais Energy All-Ireland U21 ‘B’ HC title following a 10-point victory over Meath on Saturday 11th September in Semple Stadium, Thurles. On the final score line of Kerry 0-22 to Meath 0-12. The sides were level on 0-9 apiece at half-time, but favoured by the wind in the second half, Kerry stamped their authority on proceedings to run out comfortable winners.
But it was all Kerry after the restart with 17-year-old Padraig Boyle scoring 0-6 from play and free-taker Darragh O’Connell finishing with a personal tally of 0-10. Meath could not get past the Kingdom’s goalkeeper John Brendan O’Halloran. After the game GAA president Christy Cooney presented the under 21 shield to Captain Fantastic Shane Nolan

It was Mixed fortunes for the Club on the playing fields last week, on Thursday evening The Crotta u-12 hurlers booked a place in the Michael Reidy Memorial County U12 Championship final overcoming a gallant Lixnaw side on score of 2-07 to 1-04 in Ballyheigue. Crotta now meet Ardfert in the Final. On Saturday evening 11th September, the Crotta/Lixnaw minor hurlers made their exit from this years County Minor championship, when they were defeated by Kenmare in Kilgarvan on a 2-13 to 3-05 score line, also on Saturday evening, The Crotta Juniors qualify for their four consecutive
County Senior League Division 3 final with a victory over Austin Stacks on a 2-12 to 3-03 score line in Abbeydorney. Crotta now meet Abbeydorney or Ardfert in the final.
