Seniors

Our Senior team had a home game to-day in Keeley Park against Wolfe Tones. It was Tones who started the brighter team with a goal and two points within the first ten minutes. However,  Silverbridge fought back and an D McCann goal and a Liam Campbell point  left only one in it after 15 minutes. Tones kept the pressure on and scored two unanswered points leaving the half time score Tones 1-4, Bridge 1-1. In the Second half   three points in quick succession for the home side left the side’s level after six minutes of the restart. The Bridge then took the lead for the first time in the match and at this stage were looking like potential winners but this proved to be a false dawn as Tones recorded four points in succession to take control of the proceedings. Try as they did the Bridge could not get back into the game and Tones ran out winners on a score line of Tones 2-10 to Silverbridge 1-7. Next Weeks match is Championship quarter final against Keady in Ballymacnab on Saturday at 5.30 pm.

Ladies Football

Our Senior ladies were away to Ballyhegan on Saturday evening last and produced a thrilling match but unfortunately the spoils went to the home side.

This was another great team performance from a group of ever improving players.

U16 Ladies

Our Under 16 girls are now in the next round of the championship after a win over Armagh Harps. This was a great all round team performance on the night and they  now go on to meet Carrickcruppen in the next round your support would be greatly appreciated.

U8 Blitz

There will be an U8 blitz next Saturday leaving at 10.15am bring a packed lunch.

Laura Walsh would like to thank all who contributed and participated in the table quiz which took place on Aug 22^nd in Silverbridge Clubrooms. The quiz which was in Aid of Make A Wish Foundation, turned out to be a great success raising one thousand euros on the night. Laura would like to thank Michael Toal,   for putting together such an enjoyable yet challenging range of questions. Sky dive will take place on 12/9/08 in Co Offaly.
