JUNIORS

The Junior B Championship got underway this weekend when played host to Gowna on Saturday afternoon. On a rare sunny day, the side put on a great show and ran out comfortable winners by 3-13 to 0-9 with some great performances right through the side.

MINORS

The Minors play St. Joseph’s in the quarter-final of the championship on Saturday 27th in Arva at noon.  This will be a very tough encounter and we would ask everyone to make the effort to come along and effort the side.  This minor side have had a super year so far with eight wins and just one defeat in their 10 league matches and deserve all the support that they can get.

U-16’s

The U-16’s were knocked out of the championship during the week when they faced Redbridge last Tuesday.  On a dreadful evening, on a very heavy Redhills pitch, they never got going against a strong home side and ended up on the wrong side of a  2-13 to 2-1 scoreline.

U-14’s

The U-14’s championship final has been postponed for a week following the draw between Castlerahan and Shercock.  No exact date has been fixed for the final, but sure games are rarely played when I’m told they are,  so ye probably wouldn’t believe me even if I did tell ye!!

JUVENILE DRAW

The annual juvenile draw took place in M&F’s last Friday night and the winners are as follows:

1st – 2 All-Ireland Tickets, B&B & Evening Meal in Skylon Hotel & €200  – Tommy Smyth, Annagh

3rd – €100 – Harry & Rhiona Weldon – Kingscourt

A big thanks to Sean & Doreen for the use of the premises and also to all those who bought and sold tickets.
