SENIORS

The Senior side had no game this weekend and are next up at home to Drumlane on Satuday 19th April at 6.30pm.

JUNIORS

The Division 4 campaign finally got underway this weekend with an impressive 1-14 to 0-9 victory for Kingscourt at home to Denn on Saturday evening.  After last year’s disappointing season, there is great determination that this year will see the side challenging at the other end of the table.  Next up is a trip to Cuchullains at 2pm next Saturday (19th)

MINORS

The Minors chalked up six wins in a row during the week after a 0-16 to 3-4 victory away to Redbridge.  A victory away to the amalgamated outfit (Redhills/Butlersbridge) was impressive on it’s own, considering they are being mentioned as potential championship contenders, but even more so consiering how the game panned out.

Kingscourt had look set for a comfortable victory when seven points clear, but a three goal blitz from Redbridge rocked the young Stars. However, they didn’t panic and continued to slot over the scores to claim a deserved victory and next up face Trintiy Gaels at home on Wed 16th at 6.30pm.

As mentioned though, this victory was far from straight forward, as young Barry Tully suffered a broken leg in a unfortunate incuident.  This was a terrible blow for Barry who had been having a super season with the minors, so much so that the previous week he made his first senior start against Cavan Gaels and looked completely at home.  We wish Barry a speedy recovery and hope to see him back in the jersey later in the year

JUVENILES:

The U-14’s made the short trip to Bailieboro during the week and managed a super victory by 6-14 to 2-4.  1 Week, 2 Victories, 11 Goals; Keep up the good work lads!!  The U-12’s had a bye week.

Both sides are at home this week at 6.45pm on Tuesday & Thursday respectively

Following the success of the online lotto we have been looked for further ideas to make the website a important interactive tool for Kingscourt Stars supporters all over the world.  We are currently in the process of having some old games and interviews uploaded onto the website in short ‘You Tube’ style clips and we hope these will be available to view and/or buy from next month.  Believe me there is some priceless footage, including some not-to-be-missed player interviews from the U-12 Championship winning team of 1985!!.  Keep an eye on www.kingscourtstars.ie for further updates.  For feedback on the website, please email kingscourt.stars@hotmail.com
