SENIORS

Paddy Bates’ side had their final warm up match this week when Magheracloone were the visitors and inflicted another defeat on the homeside by 1-10 to 0-6. However, these results will count for little ahead of the league proper.

On Easter Saturday, we start our Div 2 campaign of with a home tie v Drung at 4pm.  Despite the presence of county keeper, James Reilly, in their line up, the Stars will be hopeful of getting a victory, and indeed, anything less will a major disappointment.

JUNIORS

Similar to the senior side, our junior’s opening league match fell foul of the weather and as such it will be next month before they get to kick things of.  No doubt eager to start their Div 4 campaign, the fact that word of the cancellation came thru at David O’Connell’s wedding, meant their were few sad faces!

MINORS

On Easter Monday at 3pm, the Minor side head to Laragh Utd as they seek to register their fourth successive victory in the league.  Confidence will be high ahead of this and with our three county players in the line up, a successful trip is expected.

Last weekend, the club hosted the Cavan minors in their opening league match v Meath. In a familiar scenario, the Breffin side dominated for long periods, before a late Meath push saw the visitors emerge victorious.  Now where have we heard that before!

CONGRATULATIONS

The club would like to congratulate David & Catherine O’Connell on their recent wedding.  A good night was had by all, especially when word of the junior cancellation came through!
