There was no winner of the jackpot this week. Martin Mc Namee (Convoy), Bill Meehan (Convoy), Joseph Matthew Patton (Convoy), Pat Lafferty (Ballindrait), and Bridget Mc Neill (Ballybofey) matched 2 counties and won €20 each. The winning counties were WW, WX, KE and MN. Next weeks jackpot is €5950. Tickets are available from any committee member at a cost of €2 or online.

Team news
Approximately 25 under 10’s took part in their first blitz of the season on Friday night in Mac Cumhaills. Training continues on Saturday morning at 11am.

The under 12’s have their first blitz this Friday night at 7pm in Mac Cumhaill’s. Bus leaving Convoy at 5.45pm and Drumkeen at 6pm. Under 12 and under 13 boys training continues on Monday at 6 – 7pm.

In a good all round team performance the minors beat Termon on a scoreline of 6 16 to 1 6 on Monday night in Convoy. Scorers: Peter Blake 2 0, Patrick Lafferty 1 0, Brendan Bonner 0 4, Anthony Browne 1 2, Ryan Kettle 0 2, Emmet Patterson 0 2, JA Kee 1 1, Dean Bonner 0 1, Michael T Black 1 0, Ronan Donellan 0 2 and Keelan Gillen 0 1. Their next game is at home v Downing’s on Thursday night at 730pm. The under 16s are in the Division 3 championship on the first weekend in July away to Glenswilly.

The senior men had a good victory on Sunday against St. Eunan’s on a scoreline of 3 11 to 0 5. Scorers: Ryan Kettle 2 4, Gary Patton 0 3, Emmet Mc Nulty 1 0, Anthony Browne 0 1, Lawrence Mc Mullan 0 2, and Ryan Carlin 0 3. The reserves were well beaten by a strong St. Eunan’s side on a scoreline of 2 16 to 0 6. Scorers: Michael Rodgers 0 3, Seamus Sweeney 0 1 and Jonathan Mailey 0 2The next game for both teams is away to Naomh Colmcille at the weekend. Senior and reserves training continues on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 730pm

Ladies
Under 14 girls were well beaten by a much stronger St. Eunan’s side on Thursday last. Their next game is away to Robert Emmet’s on Thursday 6th May. Players are asked to meet at pitch at 545pm sharp for bus.

The under 16’s are at home v St. Eunan’s on Tuesday evening at 6pm.

The senior ladies had a good victory over Glencolmcille on Sunday in Convoy. Captained by Aoife Mc Laughlin they gave a very impressive all round team performance with some of the younger players coming to the fore i.e. Ciara Wilson, Clarissa Kearns, Elaine Kelly and Hannah Neilson. Training continues on Wednesdays at 730pm.Their next game is v Malin this weekend.

Congratulations
Congratulations to Sarah Allan, Caoimhe Browne and Erica Wilson who represented the club on the Donegal under 14 team in the Ulster final on Saturday v Monaghan in Monaghan. In a hard fought game of football unfortunately the team were narrowly beaten in the closing minutes of the game.

Congratulations to under 16 players Peter Blake, Raymond Mc Namee and Oisin Porter who were part of the Donegal under 16 panel which qualified for this years Buncrana cup.
