SENIORS:
Well done to our Senior team who reached the clubs 1st Senior Final, of note, since 1986, with a hard earned victory over St. Aidans in Knockcroghery last Saturday. Elphin were thankful to be leading at half time by a couple of points as Aidan`s had racked up several wides, including a penalty miss. After the restart Aidan`s clawed back the arrears and with the aid of a goal were 3 points up midway through the half. However, Elphin dug deep and largely thanks to John Collins` accuracy on front of the posts earned a one point win. Final score Elphin 0-11 to St Aidans 1-07.

MINORS:
Congratulations to our minors who won the Div. 4 Summer League last Friday in Tarmonbarry. A great first half performance laid the foundation for this win. Elphin, playing against a very strong wind , played the better football and went in at half time 2-6 to 0-6 ahead. The 2nd half was played in torrential rain. Elphin continued the great work rate and combined with the fact that there where now playing the better football ran out deserved winners on the evening. Final score Elphin 3-11 St Barrys 0-8. Thanks to St. Barrys for having the pitch in great condition and also for the refreshments afterwards.
