Kickham GAA Juvenile club Notes.

U/14 (B) Football.

Our U/ 14 Footballers had a great win over a strong Galtee Rovers side in the West final which was played in Sean Treacy Park on Monday night last. The lads gave a great display of football which saw them emerge victorious even though they were 5 points behind after the opening ten minutes. We now look forward to the Co.stages and we hope for the same great support that the lads got in the final. Well done to allconcerned.

West Senior Hurling.

Our senior hurlers played Cappawhite in Golden on Friday last and after a tight game emerged victorious on the score 4-7 to 1-7. Our last game in the league stages will be against Eire Og Annacarty, but as yet no fixture date has been decided. See match report.

Co. Junior Hurling League.

On tonight Thursday the 3rd of June Our Juniors travel to Lattin to take on the home side in the Co. Junior League. Threow in at 7.30pm. All support appreciated.

For your attention.

Members of your club will be visiting your home in the coming weeks to give you information on the club and its activities. Below is a transcript of the letter that will be given to each household, we would hope that you would read it and consider if you might be able to support the club in some way

‘Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams GAA Club was founded in 1935 and since then has been developed into a first class facility for our players from under eight up to senior level. At the moment there are over 150 juvenile members and 100 plus minor, senior, under 21 and junior players. In order to finance the refurbishment works and cater for the day to day running of the club regular fund raising is required.

The Lotto is our principal source of income. Tickets are €2 each and can be purchased at many retail outlof the lotto committee. A small contribution from each person or household makes a huge difference to the Club’s finances. We also facilitate supporters by offering a multi draw ticket e.g.-a contribution of €20 will include you in the draw for ten weeks You can also play Lotto on locallotto.ie

Membership (non playing) of the Club cost €25 per year and ensures you are included in the draw for match tickets.
